I have two primary interests: economic history and manufacturing. The passion for economics has prompted a lifetime study of government policy and business history. This research culminated in the creation of my book, Back to the Future: How to Reignite American Innovation.

The second passion for manufacturing has led me to become a Staff Engineer at Path Robotics, where my work involves:

-
Multi-modal transformers for robotic manipulation and assembly
-
Generalized bin picking
-
Deep learning, reinforcement learning, and path planning
-
2D/3D geometric processing algorithms

I have been the lead engineer on the autonomous assembly and weld product
